as the wet and warm january comes to an end (yes i ate to much curry) a new month is almost upon us. that month would be... February... it's never been a month that has held any significance to me personally... yet, due to the decision of one man and his warrior toon, it has become landmark

could this be the last year of playing gw1?

So... the point of this post?

to get some idea of what everyone wants to do on tuesday nights... think about it... vote on it, and then we'll move forward... I propose that we go through the list i have come up with and number from 10 to 1, 10 being the best option and 1 being the worst. We'll add up the numbers and then get on with it... sound ok...?

A - Vanquish some more (starting with Elona)

B - Elite Missions - Like Urgoz Warren and Sorrow's Furnace

C - Eye of the North Dungeons

D - Missions in Hard Mode

E - Work on getting more Hero armour through various challenge missions

F - Crank up some allegiance titles - Like Norn, Ebon Vanguard etc

G - Keep going with Guild Wars: Beyond - starting by finishing the War in Kryta content

H - Have a solid crack at the underworld or fissure of woe

I - Work through some content with different characters

J - Have some runs together of Jade Quarry - competitive mission

Things to do list...

Next week I think we should hit the Borlis Pass. Ian, is there anything you have vanquished that we could do without you?

im pumped - once we're through them, i can progress in the game.

we can also start on things like - skills quests, mini-games, and getting all the heroes.

Luxon faction update

so... this is mainly for caine, but i'm putting it up here anyways.

spoke to mick yesterday, who let me know he was up around the 5,000 mark in Luxon now, and that we should all do a little farming to try and get somewhere near there also.

Last night Copland and I decided to just go straight up and down and kill some stuff. We did this in the form on Hard mode and vanquished the archipelagos. in hard mode we received 10 faction per kill, so i'm at about 3.5k and copland is close to mick now.

so... in short. if we can all find time (maybe?), to do some farming of sorts (or quests) before tuesday, then we can go straight thru the quests and hit gyala hatchery.

i really dont know if i'll get on again before tuesday - just been busy. but we can try. there's always eternal grove, my vizunah square, or more faction farming... yeah?

got a bit done

ok...
so i did start some of those quests

i finished "the experimental weaponsmith" (you get the reward there)
and
"Melodic Gaki Flute"
and started
"the beak of darkness"

do experimental first, then you're right near the other 2 - dont just charge in though 3 lvl 28 assasins spawn - if one of you try and take them on it could get messy.

from there i did what you guys could probably run - head south (you'll need to go east first) to saint anjeka's shrine - just to open the map up.

i then went up to house zu heltzer (map travel) got the gaki flute reward and a new quest - "discord wallow lyre"
i then went back to saint anjeka's shrine, headed south and finished discord wallow lyre - and then got the reward and obtained the quest "rhythm drinker drum"

i now have 5,300 faction in kurzicks.

in short - i finished experimental weaponsmith, melodic gaki flute and discord wallow lyre, and progressed one step in the beak of darkness - that probably around an hours work - probably less.

PUGs got me up to speed!

one of the elements of gw i like is the whole to pug or not to pug thing. (Pick Up Groups)

I know we all have mixed feelings on them, but really - before heroes, you HAD to use them. So... I thought I'd look for some groups and catch up to you guys in cantha/factions/the 2nd campaign/the one we got cheap... bickety bam! I kicked some goals. Got both masters (2nd one in 13 minutes) and up to the same quest as you guys.

i also made enough gold to finally get better armour for vispahni (see post)

Zahran, Maisa, Stampy and Xyla - all do the factions missions together on Tuesday nights.
Before Caine gets on Copland and I can help Mick with Nightfall (or do whatever)...

So... we all do the missions with masters in Factions together with our main characters. If you wanna do other stuff in factions, thats cool, do it yourself, but missions in factions... we're all together

Just checking if everyone can make it this tuesday. i need a bit of help running to new missions in nightfall. Ian i missed some of your phone calls but got your voicemail msg. im fine to get online. can't wait to do some guild hall battles.

in my last post i alluded to heroes and the hall of monuments
basically - you can only add a hero to your monument if they have upgraded armor
so...
i would like to have a crack at this some tuesdays
the challenege missions give you the pieces - not sure about in GW:EN, but thats how it works in NF.
In particular - I want to get at least 2 more from Dajkah Inlet (hopefully 3) and then I want to hit the shadow nexus. You can also do upgrades in the domain of anguish and from the remains of sahlajah, but they are either not challenge related - or individual challenges.

so yeah - a couple more cracks at dajkah would be cool for now.

That puts me out til August 13/14.

I can now confirm that as on that week (August 13 etc) I will no longer be working Monday nights. So... If you would like to make a switch, then that would be the time to do it.

The one thing I really (really) want to do with you guys though is a photo shoot! I think it would be best to go maisa, stamp, xyla and whoever you want caine. It would also be good to get some other screen shots, so i can make up a bit of a banner to go on our front page...

It may well work best to do this in eye of the north?
On that note, just wanted to let you know that Copland and I have now preordered ours. Its $50, thankyou Aussie dollar! I should be able to get a night free (either Friday or Saturday) on the pre-release trial (if its open to Australia) which will be the weekend before its released (24-25 Aug)

OK, so I am totally up for another crack at the Dock's mission - Master's Reward Style!

Also, would love to have another go at Hell's Precipice to try and cap an ele skill I really want for Zhed.

The only other thing I'm interested in is going back to Prophecies and getting my Cartographer on! Not sure if this is beneficial for everyone, but if Mick and I can find some stuff to do and Ian and Caine want to do missions together that would be cool with me.

I think really first call this week should be copland's as the other 3 of us got the calls last week.

I'm wondering... mick... where are you up to in nightfall with maisa? are you in kourna yet, or still just istan??? I'm really looking forward to showing you guys a good lightbringer farming spot. Its one of my fave things - it helps with the game you know...

I have a thing on at school, and will probably not get home til somewhere between 8 and 8.30. So... I guess its a somewhat late start on Tuesday for me...

I'm happy to roll with what you guys are after, but here are some things that I would like to do... which i'm sure can fit into what yall are thinking. All I'm interested in at the moment is Xyla though I guess.

1 - Finish off the missions and bonuses in prophecies (i have 5 to go)
2 - Masters in Nightfall - i think you were interested in this copland?
3 - Skill caps. I'm sure there are still some i need pretty much everywhere (except Dragon's Lair funnily enough).
4 - levelling up heroes. If we are going anywhere pretty light - with beasties that are under level 20 i have a level 12 jin and a level 18 goren, as well as the pets for both xyla and zenmai... All in my to do list...

there you go... thats all i got for now...
the only thing i dont want to do is spend much money!!! so no more 2 or 3 skill caps for now i guess.

Finally, if we are all still up for tomorrow night, then I would like to go back through NF and redo all the missions to get the Master's Reward for each of them. Either with the CIMs or with our other characters. Not sure where Mick is up to with Maisa or Caine with his NF character, so maybe we should wait a bit until everyone is caught up...not sure?!?!

I need help clearing the map in the frozen forest and spearhead peak (both in the southern shiverpeaks). If we could spend a bit of time on that this tuesday well, shucks, that'd just be great.
By the way it wont let me write a title so there is none.

Level me up scotty!!

This week my main goal is to get Spartacus upto level 20.

I should be able to achieve this by doing a 2 or three mission and their bonus
It is so hard to level up in the Prophesies, i guess it makes it all the more exciting when you get there.

time to get serious about the protector title

I figure that one of the best thing you guys can help me with is to get my Protector of Tyria title.

The way this will work out can actually help with some other things you all need, well in most part anyways...

I need to do the complete mission including the bonus for all 3 jungle missions. Caine, I figure you only have a few to do with Spartacus before getting up to them. We can help each other with this one. These ones are designed for level 16 - 18, so they'll be easy with me and my heroes. Caine I also need the bonuses for Divinty Coast (after D'Allessio seaboard and before jungle) and Sanctum Cay (just after jungle). I figure I can give you a hand getting all the way from Kryta to the desert if we can time it right (or find the time?)

I also need the last 2 southern shiverpeaks bonuses - Thunderhead and Iron Mines (which will help with skill caps for Mick and Copland) also I need the Ring of Fire Bonus (more caps).
So... they arent things all 4 of us will be involved in (unless you wanna help us get thru kryta and the jungle) but they are things I'd like to do with you guys, that I probably wont get thru by myself...
Cool... No rush... just a list to work thru.

Just starting a new label for a new set of posts...
I guess with our new format of basically running thru helping each other out with something, we can just whack it up here, in a post with that label...
Maybe give it a title with the date and character name, or something else obvious...

Are we doing stuff this week copland and caine? i dont mind either way... could do with a week off, or happy to do stuff just the 3 of us...
