Just letting you know I wont be on this Tuesday as I will be at the State Girls Football carnival at Penrith all week. You guys are just going to help each other mop up anyway I think. What is the plan for attacking EOTN? Do we all start from whoever has done the least (Copland?) so we can catch up to each other? Or are you too far advanced Ian? And if so, could you use a different character until we catch up to Xyla?
What do you reckon?

Lights.... Camera.... FACTIONS!
How's this for a plan
Zahran, Maisa, Stampy and Xyla - all do the factions missions together on Tuesday nights.
Before Caine gets on Copland and I can help Mick with Nightfall (or do whatever)...
So... we all do the missions with masters in Factions together with our main characters. If you wanna do other stuff in factions, thats cool, do it yourself, but missions in factions... we're all together
does that sound ok?

There's a faction too much fiction....
Hi Guys,
Here is my thoughts....
We should gather as a guild and adventure into factions together and work together on finsihing factions together....did i say together?
I think this would be fruitfull to work togther in factiosn as we are all more or less at similar spots. This does not exclude doing nightfall as group thing or prophesies as a group thing if needed.
Let me know what your think

Future conquests...
Guys it feels a bit like we've hit the wall. After a great start with the cims, we switched to the original characters and had a great time doing missions and bonuses. But we don't seem to have a common goal anymore.
Here's what I propose:
Before Tuesday, identify one area you would like us to help with. Maybe it's a mission you are having trouble with, maybe a skill you'd like to cap. Maybe even an area you'd like to scrape but can't get there without dying. Even though we might have already done that mission/capped that skill/scraped the area, we help out. I reckon that's what being in a guild is about- knowing someone's got your back if you are in a rut.
In my case, I'd like to progress fast through nightfall with Maisa so I can cap skills. I'd also like to open up more map in the shiverpeaks. If we can spend a bit of time (45-60 min??) helping me out the next time we are on that'd be great.
Caine would of course be included. Even if he can't join us, we can help him for a while if he needed us.
Of course I'm still happy to play with the cims for poops and giggles.
So... is there something you guys need help with?

titles: a lot can happen in two months
i was flicking thru some old posts this morning and found this one
wow!
Although titles are still a high priority for me, there seems to be some other important things too. The order has definately changed anyway! In order heres a current priority list for me
1. Lightbringer
I want to get high up in this title like nobodies business! really, it will make the game easier at the top levels of nightfall. It truly does. Its hard work though... and getting to the 50,000 to max it out may be a stretch (considering 1000 still seems a ways way off). I have my eye on Conquering Commander at the moment anyways... I havent unlocked hard mode in NF yet, so getting past that will be a fair way off!
2. Treasure Hunter
Oh... where did my bum go? that's ruight i worked it off, going for treasure hunter! To be honest though... once i get to 100 I'm going to slow down, and spend my money somewhere else... like...
3. Skill Hunter
As you all know, I've been working away at this bad boy for some time now... Its a long long long road! But the other good thing it helps me with is...
4. Heroes
Wanting to get all 15, max them out, give them good builds, and have them be a part of a solid set of team builds! Its a big job... but i love em!
5. Protector of Tyria
Just chipping away at this one when I feel like it. I find some of it a bit tedious at times... I imagine I will have this one done by the time GW:EN comes out.
6. Map Searcher
Yes... i intentionally name it wrong and leave no link, cause I suck at this one

priorities:titles
as we start thinking about eye of the north, i guess we start think about heading somewhere.
here's the titles we can go for
in general i think all of these are obtainable (with time) this a rough order of what will be easiest for our old prophecies characters. just keep moving in the general direction. Tuesday night belongs to our original cims, other times, let keep working on these guys...
0. Get the extra 30 attribute points. In Nightfall its easy - you get them with ranks early in the game... with prophecies it requires some quests. I cant remember the ins and outs of it, but we can work it out... they are in the desert. We should do this at some point... it will give us more to play with in our builds.
1. Tyrian Explorer (Pathfinder/Trailblazer/Cartographer).
A bit of intentional filling out the map, along with doing some missions/quests will get us to the 60% for a title (then 70,80,90)
2. Protector of Tyria
This requires getting the bonus (and completing) all missions. I think we are all around 10 on this, so its not impossible. Something to not focuso n, but have a crack at when you have a spare 30 minutes or so i guess.
3. Treasure Hunter
Spend the bucks, buy those keys. When you see a chest, open it. This is one title for all campaigns.
4. Seeker of Wisdom
This one takes a little stuffing round. Not a great deal... but a little. Basically, from what I can figure out, gold items add to this. So you identify one and it gets you a point (i think?), So, if you find a gold item with any character, dont identify it, put it into storage then identify it later when you are logged in with your title gathering character (stamp, xyla, maisa?)
5. Sunspear Commander
We will obviously take all our characters over to the other campaigns... then... only 1,000 points and you get to wear this title. I imagine it wont mean much to the hall of monuments, but with a bit of boosting it up (to Castellan or Warmarshall) i imagine it will....
6. Lightbringer
Again, this is pretty easy to get once at the right point of the game in nightfall.... keep working away at it... and it'll come... (like being constipated really)
7. Skill Hunter
Quite simple really... Cap 90 skills.
This WILL require secondary proffession changes. I'm not sure how many... but yeah, this way down the list obviously.
8. Explorer of Cantha / Elona
Same as above (1) once we get into those campaigns.
9. Protector of Cantha / Elona
Same as above (2) once we get into those campaigns.
10. Sweet Tooth / Drunkard
Basically, eat sweet things, and drink grog.
lists can be found with each title. Sweet tooth requires lots of money, Drukard requires lots of money and lots of boring time sitting around.
If we can get 10 titles. we will get the title "People know me"
the other titles like this are here... i so want 25 titles one day.
Short of getting into PvP, having a character that never dyed or hacking into the ArenNet system, thats pretty much all we can get...

Eye of the North
With all the cool stuff that goes along with the new Eye of the North expansion I have been getting back into my first character - The Stamp.
Was wondering what you guys would think about dedicating some Tuesday night time, or maybe a separate one off session to working with these characters. Ian, I know you haace Xyla and Mick maybe your top level ranger would like to come for a spin. There's fun to be had in the Shiverpeaks, as well as getting these guys into Factions and Nightfall.
Let me know what you guys think, but I plan on doing a s much as I can with The Stamp (titles, skill capping, etc...) so if you wanna get on board, that's cool with me!

long term intentions
I've been thinking a little bit lately about builds and stuff, particularly in relation to Cim Heartcaller. And, well... its a bit wierd, cause Cim HC is going to be me first and only lvl 20 monk, I don't want or need another one, where-as both you guys are using classes that you've been successful with before...
Anyways, where am I going with this. All I wanted to say is that I wanna max out pretty much everything I can with this guy. I want to get some real nice armor, I want to get all the skills I can, I want to have 4 or 5 different builds for different situations (hex removal, bonding, WoL, LoD, heal protect hybrid... to name some choices), and I want some kick ass green weapons.
All I wondering is if you guys are in...?
I want to be able to use this guy when someone wants an awesome monk... and so... to do that, i need to have every outpost, on all 3 maps. I wanna cap everything I can. On the note of 3 maps... I don't mind taking a break between finishing nightfall with our first set of characters and then moving onto faction where i get to play a ritualist!
Its a huge thing to do, but I wanna do it with you guys, I'm loving tuesday nights!
Lastly... the school holidays...
not sure if you can give us a day or 2 copland, but i think i can free up a couple of days... or at least 1. probably Friday April 13 - i havve to leave for work by 3, but that gives us a good 6 hours! I will probably be free on the following Friday too, the 20th - as I go on a training course that afternoon (for a week - so i'll be out that tuesday).

Game Plan: Tuesday March 20
Trip to Lion's Arch anyone?
Copland, you can cap Magehunter Strike which is a strength attack skill.
If we can get to LA and go up to The Ascalon Settlement, I should be able to get Dwayna's Kiss which will help me heal you better when you have a hex on you. I'm happy to wait a while for this, but it will help...
Other than that, we might be able to get started on PvP. Actually this weekend would have been good for that - with the bonus double points.
Having said all that (Lion's Arch + PvP) I would love to clear our quest logs and do the mission (Consulate Docks) that gets us off the Island - the first mission that takes us into Kourna. I think we can get a quest that gives us signets of capture before that though. There are 4 bosses in the mission - sorry Mick, no caps for you.
Copland, you can cap Magehunter Strike which is a strength attack skill. I can get a quite useful Paragon skill - Cautery Signet, which is awesome for condition removal, but leads to me being on fire (so I might need to use it followed by purge conditions on myself.
After that we can go into the first explorable area on Kourna (Marga Coast), where there are a number of skills we might want to cap. I will try and put up a post into these down the track... too much for tonight, but let me say there are 2 each for you 2 and 1 for me. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. All I can say here about this one, is that it would be nice for us all to max out our elite skills - in that sense I'm a completist, which is a real word! (and actually probably used more correctly in this context)

Improving my build and how Lion's Arch fits into it
I've been thinking about how to improve my build for Cim Heartcaller. Basically there are 2 skills that would pretty much be perfect for the pure heal build I'm going for at the moment.
Word of Healing (Elite)
The beauty of this skill is that if you have a hex on you, it heals for extra (just over 1/2 again), so while i can't strip the hex off quickly, I can compensate by healing you for a whopping 100 health (plus whatever my divine favour gives us extra). To give you an idea, the standard skill I use Orison of Healing will give 73 health. (all these are assuming that i have 12 + 1 + 3 in healing)
Word of Healing (Elite)Word of healing is the rolls royce of healing skills. If your health is below 50% it will double my heal, this will lead to a humungus 212 health.
With these 2 skills in my arsenal we will be much stronger. (by the way, Dunkoro already has them... lucky bastard).
So... how do we get them. One's an elite only available in Tyria and Cantha and the other is a prophecies skill. Sp... It aint easy.
The first one (DK) will need a trip to the Ascalon Settlement, north of... you guessed it... Lion's Arch. We can get there once we are level 20, and well, you guys might be able to pick up some skills there too. It's not from the skill trainer there, but from a quest.
The second is elite, so will require a skill cap. From what I can see on wiki, the only place we can get it is in the desert on tyria... dar! so... it means a run from LA to Sanctum Cay, then do that mission and cap the skill on one of the Desert missions. A lot of stuffing round! But for the best healing skill in the game... its worth it.

Game Plan: Tuesday March 13
Thoughts for next week? If you want to just edit this post and say its you, thats fine, or you can comment.
I would prefer to just get on with the missions, but I'm flexible enough to do whatever you guys want. If you want to take the time to claer out everything and be completists, thats ok. I do agree with you Copland in saying that we probably wont get back to stuff if we dont do it now. Well, we probably wont get back to it until the game is over anyways.
So we have 3 options.
1 - Just focus on main storyline missions
2 - Get to level 20, then just focus on storyline missions
3 - Finish everything off in an area before we move on. So, we start with Istan, then Kourna, Vabbi, the Desolation, then end game (domain of anguish).
The only thing about approach 3 will be the length of time it will take us to get heroes. We only get 2 in Kourna - Zhed (my elementalist) and Margrid the Sly (mick's ranger). It is a fair chunk of game time anyway til you get the last 3 (Norgu, Goren and Morghan).
Also, 2 other key game elements come into it. The first one, when we get to Kourna is skill capping. The 2nd really doesnt come into play till Vabbi (but can be done with alot of time wastingly hard work in Kourna) which is Lightbringer points(which makes it easier to beat some of the baddies - margonites in particular).
So, I guess we have 3 choices for now, and then can decide between the other 2 later.
There is one more possible game priority, which is farming faction, but we'll talk about that later.

Game Plan: Tuesday March 6
Comment here if there is anything particular you want to do tonight.
I would like to, by the end of the night have both jinn and tahlkora in our party. I don't think this is asking too much.
here's the running order from where we are: Bad Tide Rising, Zaishen Elite, Student Jinn (gain Acolyte Jinn), Special Delivery, Big News Small Package (gain Tahlkora).
If we get thru this quick enough we just need to do following the trail, then we can go on and go the next mission - Blacktide Den.
we'll see how we go.
one for copland
one for mick

team priorities
ok... so maybe we need to discuss what we want to do as a team - the label or category team priorities will handle this...
i agree that general time in town is pretty heavy at the moment.
maybe we need to try to do all that sort of stuff (armor, skills, hero builds, weapons) in our own time. And have the only thing we do in towns be collect rewards and merchant stuff.
thoughts...
