one of the elements of gw i like is the whole to pug or not to pug thing. (Pick Up Groups)
I know we all have mixed feelings on them, but really - before heroes, you HAD to use them. So... I thought I'd look for some groups and catch up to you guys in cantha/factions/the 2nd campaign/the one we got cheap... bickety bam! I kicked some goals. Got both masters (2nd one in 13 minutes) and up to the same quest as you guys.
i also made enough gold to finally get better armour for vispahni (see post)

New Threads for Vispahni Sahqo
After checking out the gallery I made my decision and finally upgraded to level 70 armor - yes i was kicking around eye of the north with dodgy armor!
Anyways, I went for canthan armor, a photo of its original colour can be found here
i mucked around with all my dyes and managed to come up with something i liked.
any guesses as to what colours i dyed it (hint - its not just one colour)

Cool skill
Hey, I was doing some reseach on Guild Wiki and come across this skill...
It's called "None shall pass" and according to Guild Wiki, 'This skill's name is a reference to the Black Knight in the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, whose first words are "None shall pass!" to King Arthur.'

Last night...
Hey,
Ian, just so you know, last night we knocked over Arborstone and Boreas Seabed, both for Master's Level, and the primary quest that follows on from those missions. The primary quest we are up to now is "Battle in the Sewers".
So, anyway, if you can get up to there for next week, that'd be cool.

Cheating???
I have been spending some time with some of my old characters this past few weeks.
There are a few others out there...The Left and Cim Spleenstaker, 2 Elonian Warriors that will one day attain their destiny. The Ellipsis, a lvl 3 Necro, who is yet to make it out of Kamadan, but who is anxious to kick some butt!
So, who else have you all got on the sly? Hmm, seeing someone else maybe...when its a lonely Thursday night, you think no one will know, but now is the time to confess. Who have you got hiding away back there...come one guildies...'fess up!

Expertise - and why I invest so many points into it
I guess the main point of this post is to share some thoughts on my ranger builds, and what it is I'm working towards.
That... and to say Mick... try this...
Firstly, something I have noticed with my Ranger, is that I have very little energy management problems. Given that I have a bow that makes me lose 5 energy, cutting my base energy down to just 20, that seems mental. But, expertise, with its bonuses for energy helps like nobodies business. With Ex at 10, i save 40% on all my skills, cutting a 10 down to just 6, which is very managable. I even use some 15s from time to time - at the moment I use broad head arrow a bit.
Now sure... there are some pretty bizarre builds out there, that cleverly play up the positives of experise. Like Ritualist secondaries for cheap sprits, Necro secondaries for the classic "touch ranger/necro" and also some other variations including dervishes and warriors.
What I'm most interested in personally, is to keep the rangerness (how platonic) and just make use of some clever heals (obviously with a monk secondary) that will be significantly cheaper due to expertise. It might be worthwhile trying these out too guys (I know you all have lvl 20 rangers). The skills I'm working towards at this point in time are a straight heal (healing touch) and a condition remover (mending touch) - both of these reducing from 5, down to 3 with expertise at 10. The thing about a skill like healing breeze, is that you dont get any points off from expertise.
For a list of all touch skills look here. I even noticed you could make a nice Ranger/Warrior with some stances and a cheap headbutt!
one last note... upon checking out the article on expertise, i notice that the the reduction is rounded up not down... so a 5 energy skill only costs 3 when expertise is at 8. Its all on the article.

Hard Work
Last night after our Cathan adventures Caine and I headed back to NightFall for some skill capping. It was an adventure, to say the least.
The skill we were after is Anthem of Fury, a paragon skill. The only problem was, the only boss to have this skill in all of NF is in Nighfallen Jahai... also known as one of the trickier areas in NF.
Well, luckily I had Caine with me, otherwise I probably would have given up. There was a lot of planning and forethought and we rezoned about six times in the end. All up, it took us about an hour to kill...
Oath of Profanity
Like I said, it took us about an hour, and a lot of rezones, so the Oath of Profanity wasn't the only profanity on GW last night. Thanks for your help Caine...
